Now spring has arrived we decided to grill outside more often. To spice up the menu I bought a generic grill rotisserie so we could try to cook different ways. Our grill is a 20 year old Sunbeam which is not made any more. It has a glass see through front which is hard to find now days on an out door grills.
From our previous post we have gotten into composting all our organic waste. Our only trash is now plastic food wrappers and plastic bags. Everything else is recycled cardboard/news papers/paper/cans/bottles. So I began to think of what a waste sending all this plastic to a landfill.
After our trip to our cites recycle center we decide to build a larger compost bin. We had a small plastic 50gal size unit supplied by the city but needed a larger one. So as retirees we decided to build one.
Today while browsing Youtube looking for a ‘how to video’ I stumbled across a 21 minute video about how things work and how unsustainable our existing consumption system is.
For many years I have seriously though about buying a RV. I eventually came up with the 5th wheel set up. This basically allowed us to park our RV at a camp site, unhook our pickup, and have a means of transport away from the campsite. Then the cost began to mount up. We were trying to see if we liked the lifestyle. Our idea was to RV at the weekend and holidays to try it out. While I was working we had to park the RV somewhere . RV parking cost started to add up.
