From our previous post we have gotten into composting all our organic waste. Our only trash is now plastic food wrappers and plastic bags. Everything else is recycled cardboard/news papers/paper/cans/bottles. So I began to think of what a waste sending all this plastic to a landfill.
Plastic is basically made of oil so I began to research if anything in this area was being done. To my surprise I found a lot of people are doing this. I found an interesting video on YouTube below about a Japanese inventor who came up with an invention to do this. Take a look at this video and from there you can follow the plastic to oil trail

Although I do not know the cost of this process, the idea is to put less into landfills as they are running out of space.
