Oil from Plastic waste.

From our previous post we have gotten into composting all our organic waste. Our only trash is now plastic food wrappers and plastic bags. Everything else is recycled  cardboard/news papers/paper/cans/bottles. So I  began to think of what a waste sending all this plastic to a landfill.

Plastic is basically made of oil so I began to research if anything in this area was being done. To my surprise I found a lot of people are doing this. I found an interesting video on YouTube below about a Japanese inventor who came up with an invention to do this. Take a look at this video and from there you can follow the plastic to oil trail

Although I do not know the cost of this process, the idea is to put less into landfills as they are running out of space.
